Alright! Let’s get started!

The Depth Of My Faith, by Allie

Blog Review written by Liv from Liv Dreams

Design

First off, let me just say I love the header image. Like, love, Love, LOVE. The side bar holds a pages menu, but I feel the colors are a little random. Otherwise, I like the theme’s colors. I also would have organized them a little differently, and I don’t have an idea what’s under each tab. That could actually work to her advantage, because it could spike people’s interest, or it could deter people from wanting to click. I like the about the author blurb, and the button mirrors the header, (which is more content, but I’m going to put it there anyways 😉 ) The recent posts and archives are easily accessible. I feel the categories widget is unnecessary, since her posts are mostly uncategorized.

Rating: 8.0/10

Content

Allie’s posts can be controversial, because she is a Christian with strong opinions. However, if you don’t mind this, her posts usually send a good message and are well worded. They are fun to read and she tackles the serious issues, which takes a lot of guts. Kudos to you, Allie!

Rating: 8.0/10

This is not applicable, although as I said before, I love the header image.

Pages

Allie has a page titled: “The Ageenda” which contains a posting schedule, although I am unable to tell if it is updated regularly. I’m confused what her MMC story is, as she has never specified this. She has a nice little shop called Praise & Glory products, which is about devotionals, I’m pretty sure. (Allie, please correct me if I’m wrong.) I think the Thursdays Poetry contest is irrelevant, because it hasn’t been updated in a while. The tags page is helpful and good advertising. She has an ebook that you can read on one of the pages of her blog. Personally, I haven’t read it, but it sounds good! Her quotes page is super fun to look at if you need inspiration, or are just having a bad day. Her interviews page is formatted nicely.

Rating: 8.5/10

Accessibility

As I said before, Allie is a Christian, and her posts can controversial, so if you don’t like those topics, you should skip those posts. However, her posts can also just be daily life updates, or her writings.

Rating: 6.5/10

Overall Rating

I give this blog a… 8.5/10! I really like this blog! I hope you continue it for a very long time.

Update & Thanks:

Allie, thanks for letting me review your blog! I hope this was helpful to you and you can use some of the suggestions I gave. If you feel like you don’t want to, no hard feelings 🙂 Thanks again!

So, I just realized I haven’t done either of blog series in a really long time. And I just wanted to let you know that I am preparing a Burn, Rewrite, & Reread book post! It should be up within the week. Also, I have some great writing camp posts scheduled! I hope to get back on track with those!

thanks for reading,

liv

    1. Yep! As you can see, i fell off my schedule for a while. 7th grade was a lot harder then I expected it to be. But I am trying to get back on track with blogging. (like, I posted a winter edition of Tuesday’s Tunes )
I hope to publish a blog review before Christmas! But I am also working on a 6 month blogiversary/ 150 follower special, so my blogger plate is very full these 2 weeks. Sorry to keep you waiting so long!

  1. Are you willing to do blog reviews anymore? I know your list is probably filled up, so ignore me it is 😉 My blog is coraandcalli.wordpress.com !

  2. Another great blog review! 🙂

I have a question (which is the primary reason for this comment … otherwise it’d be a pretty boring comment!). Do you want to be referred to as April McLauren or Liv during the blog tour?

        1. Good luck scheduling! I always hate that. I was working on my LOV cover before my vacation… 🙂
Would you like me to put something about your blog tour on my blog?

          1. Basically, a bunch of bloggers get together and on certain days (September 8-12 in this case … usually the blogger will choose one day to make their post(s)) they post posts about a certain subject. For this blog tour, the subject is my to-be-published novella, The Lady of the Vineyard. I’m asking people to post a review, an author or character interview, or simply a book spotlight on their blog on one of the days starting on the 8th (of September) and going until the 12th.
